Good Design Award3

In 2009 VOLA launched three new products. Two of these products, the new VOLA towel warmer, T39 and the new VOLA free-standing shower, FS3 won the 2009 GOOD DESIGN Award presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Founded in Chicago in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and
Edgar Kaufmann, Jr. GOOD DESIGN bestows international recognition upon the world’s
most prominent designers and manufacturers for advancing new, visionary, and innovative product concepts, invention and originality, and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered ordinary product and consumer design. The 2009 Awards are listed at The Chicago Athenaeum’s website www.chi-athenaeum.org

VOLA launched its built-in modular heated towel rail for individual design solutions in
March 2009, a modular system of bars that could be positioned according to customer
requirements.

In line with the VOLA trademark style, the new towel warmer is a built-in unit where all the technical units are hidden behind the wall. It is designed as a flexible system of bars which can be combined in number and location as to fit any given interior design or tiles arrangement. This concept allows maximum freedom and provides a perfect design solution for any modern bathroom.

Each built-in unit is produced according the wishes of each single customer and shipped from the VOLA factory in Denmark within few days. So once again VOLA is taking the lead when it comes to integrating design and function with production and logistics.
The VOLA towel warmer is designed by Aarhus Arkitekterne A/Swww.aa-a.dk;

The VOLA towel warmer comes in high polished chrome, brushed chrome and brushed
stainless steel.

The new freestanding shower system FS3 with thermostat was also launched in March
2009. It embodies the VOLA character in its purest form; concise, slender, sculptured
design. It is distinguished by its modern and geometrical shape, which is sure to inspire all purist VOLA followers, In its function the new FS3 mimics natural rain fall but unlike nature, the intensity and temperature of the curtains of water can be easily adjusted.
