Aarhus Arkitekterne designs for VOLA

Aarhus Arkitekterne is responsible for designing both the VOLA Academy and VOLA showrooms and also has been designing VOLA products since 2006.

Aarhus Arkitekterne A/S is a Danish architectural firm with offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen. With around 84 employees it is among one of the larger architectural firms in Denmark.

One of its main fields of activity is the building of hospitals in Denmark as well as abroad. Town halls, concert buildings, schools, shopping centres, and private residences are included on their reference list as well.

Aarhus Arkitekterne A/S designed the VOLA headquarters in Horsens in 1999. They also designed the VOLA showrooms including Amsterdam, Vienna, Copenhagen, Munich, Shanghai & Stockholm as well as the VOLA International Studio in London.  The VOLA academy in Horsens that was built in 2008 was also designed by Aarhus Arkitekterne A/S.

Aarhus Arkitekterne mainly design buildings, however in many cases they design not only the building but also the interior and products for the building.

Their design department in this way compliments the building architecture designed by Aarhus Arkitekterne.

In 2006 the design team of Aarhus Arkitekterne A/S designed the floor-mounted mixer FS1 for VOLA. Then in 2008 they designed the free-standing mixer FS2, the free-standing shower FS3 and the towel warmer T39. In 2010 the preparations for the new VOLA Round Series of built-in waste and paper tissue holder started and ended up as a complete range of waste bins VOLA RS1, RS3, RS4 and paper tissue holder RS2, which was then supplemented with a hands-free soap dispenser, VOLA RS10 in 2013. The round shower VOLA 060 was developed in 2012 / 2013.
